ChocXO Fortunato Especial

Today I tried another one of the single origin bars I got after the tour at the ChocXO factory.


This bar was made with beans from Peru, and it was very dark, much darker than it looked on the cover. At 80% cacao, the chocolate was rich and bitter and slightly astringent, with a fruity aftertaste, very grape-like, according to my co-workers. Others thought it tasted a little alcoholic, and one co-worker said it tasted of “loneliness”. That was Connor, who thought the tahini bar made him “do things”. He has a real flair for description, eh?
