Trader Joe’s Assorted Belgian Chocolate Pumpkins

I saw these chocolate truffles in a Trader Joe’s flyer, and I knew I had to try them.

The back of the box had a key to each type of pumpkin’s chocolate coating and filling.

The milk chocolate cream was blandly flavored and overly sweet, as was the coffee ganache, which also had no discernible coffee flavor. The vanilla cream was distinctly vanilla flavored but way too sweet. The caramel was good, being gooey and salty, but the best one was the dark chocolate cream, the only one with any decent amount of chocolate flavor. Luckily, there were two of them, but oddly, there were three of the vanilla creams. Yuck.

To be honest, all of the chocolate seemed low quality. I don’t think I’d buy this again. What gives, Trader Joe’s? You used to be cool.
