We finally tried the last Nohmad bar that I found in Los Angeles.
At 85% cacao, this bar was considerably darker than the raspberry or hazelnut Nohmad bars, and you can really tell when you bite into it. Not only is the chocolate flavor more pronounced, but the bar is much smoother and less gritty than the other bars, for the simple reason that there is less sugar in it. Since these are raw bars, the sugar still has crystals and imparts a sand-like texture to the chocolate, but this one was almost smooth. I really liked the flavor, but like the other bars, I couldn’t really detect any single origin notes. It just tasted like a good dark chocolate.
